This course will help you gaining the knowledge and skills to configure Windows Vista for optimal performance on the desktop including installation, management and configuration of the new security, network and application features in Windows Vista.

Entry Requirements

Ideally you will have one year of experience within the IT industry and experience resolving issues around network connectivity, desktop OS, security and applications.

There are many subjects in the course including:

  • Installing and upgrading Windows Vista
  • Configuring and troubleshooting Post-installation system settings
  • Configuring Windows security features
  • Configuring network connectivity
  • Configuring applications included with Windows Vista
  • Maintaining and optimising systems that run Windows Vista
  • Configuring and troubleshooting mobile computing
  • Configuring power options

Exams: There is only one exam at the end of the course 70-620: Configuring Microsoft Windows Vista Client

Qualifications

Once successfully completing the course you will be able to gain the Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS): Windows Vista, Configuration certificate.
